Does Indigenous Sport & Wellness Ontario’s Bridge to Employment Program Pay Participants for the Full 8 Weeks?

ISWO’s Bridge to Employment Program provides paid participation for the full 240 hours over the 8-week program.

This support helps participants focus on building job readiness skills, gaining hands-on experience, and preparing for meaningful employment in a structured, supportive, and culturally grounded learning environment

About the Bridge to Employment Program

The Bridge to Employment Program offers unemployed or under-employed Indigenous youth 18 to 34 years of age the opportunity to benefit from defined client interventions that will enable them to develop job readiness skills and increase their chances of obtaining and keeping employment.

With three specialized streams to choose from, participants can gain valuable skills and hands-on experience in real-world settings.

This program is tailored to under-employed or unemployed Indigenous individuals, providing targeted support to increase cultural awareness, enhance job readiness and improve employment opportunities. Through practical client interactions and skill-building activities, participants will be better equipped to secure and maintain meaningful employment.

Regardless of which program you choose, all participants will receive soft skills training on personal management, communication, presentation, collaboration, problem solving, job readiness, project management, resume building, financial literacy, interview skills, relationship building, community connections, and ongoing training opportunities.
